Invitation From Beyond

The unsaved rich man has so much compassion for his five brothers on earth, he requested that Lazarus (the beggar who died) be sent back to earth. Of course, his request was denied. Luke 16: 27-30:

  1. Then he said, I beg you; therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house.
  2. For I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.”
  3. Abraham said to him, they have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
  4. And he said, No father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent.

Luke 16:26, let us know that there is no crossing over of those who go to hell and those who go to Heaven.  “And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass (cross over) from hence (here) to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would could come from thence” (heaven).

What will happen to the five brothers and others who refuse to hear Moses, the prophets or the preachers.  They will go to that terrible place called hell.  Why would God create such a place for people?  He didn’t.  According to Matthew 25:41, hell was created as a fiery place of punishment for the devil and his angels. But because mankind refuses to accept Christ, God’s son as their savior they will end up in this place. Isaiah 14:9 say, “Hell from beneath (under) is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee.

Rev. 20:12, which said, “And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the Books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged according to the things which were written in the books, according to their works” [deeds – what we say and do.} Yes, my friend a record is being kept by a heavenly recorder of our every deed and action. Can we earnestly say, our name is written in the book of life.

Is your name written in the book of life, if not it can be.  Invite Christ into your life to be your Saviour today. The Bible says in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Do you want this eternal life? If so, here is how. Just say this prayer.

Dear Heavenly  Father:

I confess that I am a sinner, I admit I have not lived according to your righteous laws, I repent and turn away from sin and turn to you. Forgive me all of my wrongdoings.

Jesus Christ died on the Cross and paid the price for my sins. I believe Christ died according to Romans Chapter 10:9, 10, therefore I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in my heart that God has raised Him from the dead on the third day for me. I invite you into my heart to live with me and through me.

You said whoever calls upon your name shall be saved.

Thank you.

Intercession

“And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.”   Ezek. 22:30

What is intercession? One definition of intercession is a coming together or a meeting between two opposing sides for the purpose of bringing agreement.  Intercession is being an advocate on behalf of someone else physically or spiritually. Prayer intercession is standing in another place before God to stay the hand of destruction. Intercession is a prayer shield to ward off the attacks of the enemy.

Prayer intercession is the hand of God reaching down and connecting with mankind’s problems, situations, circumstances and affairs.  Intercession is a backbone that support ministry. This is a very important assignment. In this ministry you become a co-laborers with God, you enter into partnership with the Almighty. When intercession in neglected, it opens the door to destruction and other negative evils forces to enter our world. Intercessors should remain faithful in guarding, protecting, shielding and hedging.

Where are the faithful intercessors? As intercessors we operate and move in two worlds, the physical and spiritual. Therefore, it is imperative to guard your spiritual post. Any effective intercessor must have a quiet place to get away and be alone. “Be still, and know that I am God” (Ps. 46:10). On many occasions Jesus went to a solitary place to pray and to be alone, especially right after ministering. “Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus would arise and go to a solitary place, where He prayed” (Mark 1:35)

Another requirement for effective intercession is being righteous before God. That means to confess and repent of un-confessed sin and clothe yourselves in righteousness. When it seems as though you have difficulty getting into the presence of God, begin by sitting still and begin to speak in your heavenly language (tongues) for it makes your faith stronger. “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost” (Jude 20).

The Resurrection: Is There Life After Death?

Jesus specifically states that man’s spirit will be reunited with his body at the resurrection. “The Lord Himself shall descend from heaven…and the dead in Christ shall rise first,” (Thess 4:16, 17)

When Christ…shall appear, then shall ye also appear  with Him in glory, (Col. 3:4). He was not referring to a soul, reincarnation, but a bodily resurrection. (John 5:28, 29)

Mankind is going through a process of metamorphosis. What is metamorphosisMetamorphosis is a change of the physical form, structure, or substance by supernatural means. The resurrection is a supernatural process that will transform man’s body from the earthly material to the spiritual. “Behold, I show you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump; for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible and we shall be changed.” (1 Cor. 15:51)

The resurrection is like changing water into ice. It’s still water, but only in another form. It’s the same body, but a different form. You will exchange this earthly body for a spiritual one.  Just as the caterpillar is wrapped in the cocoon and appears to be dead, but after a while there is a rumbling, shaking and cracking open the shell and suddenly there emerges a beautiful butterfly.

Mankind, while on earth, is in the cocoon of flesh and when his physical body dies and goes to the grave, there seems to be no hope of life, but on the day of the resurrection, when Christ returns to earth, there will be a rumbling and the opening of the grave and there will emerge the spiritual body of the saints transformed by the power of God. “But God gives it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed its own body.” (1 Corinthians 15:38)

Weeping Between the Porch and the Altar

Weeping between the porch and the altar is a mandate for leaders to assemble God’s people together for a time of prayer, fasting and consecration. The porch represents the flesh; the outer court of worship, whereas the altar represents the spirit, the place of sacrifice, the place of giving up and re-dedicating one’s life back to God. It’s time to weep between the porch and the altar until the Spirit of the Lord be poured out upon us from on high.

It’s time to make haste and take up a wailing, mourning and crying until our eyes run down with tears and our eyelids gush out with waters before our God. It’s time for the altars of our heart to return back to God. Jeremiah says, “Oh, that my head were waters and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night.” (Jeremiah 9:1)  It’s time to let our eyes run down with tears night and day and not cease for the people and our nation. Lord, we acknowledge our wickedness and the iniquity of our fathers for we have sinned against you. It’s time to go back to the true place of worship which starts with headship.

“Blow the trumpet in Zion, consecrate a fast, call a sacred assembly, gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children and nursing babes; Let the bridegroom go out from his chamber, and the bride from her dressing room.

“Let the priests who minister to the Lord, weep between the porch and the altar. Let them say, spare the people. O’ Lord and do not give your heritage to reproach, that the nations should rule over them.  Why should they say among the peoples, where is their God”. (Joel 2:15-17)

Church leaders are given a mandated assignment to gather God’s people for a time of prayer and fasting. Why? Because the meat and drink offerings are withholden from God’s house. The solid meat of God’s word and the power of His Holy Spirit are being withheld, watered down, causing, a drought, and dryness in the house of God. God exhorts leaders to encourage the people to cry out and turn back to Him with their whole heart.

Joel 1:13 – “Gird yourselves, and lament, ye PRIESTS: howl, ye MINISTERS of the altar: come, lie all night in sackcloth, ye MINISTERS of my GOD: for the meat offering and the drink offering is withholding from the house of your God.”

Joel 1:14 – “Sanctify ye a fast, CALL a solemn assembly, GATHER the ELDERS and all the INHABITANTS of the and into the house of the Lord your God and CRY unto the LORD.”

Joel 2: 1 – “Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in My Holy Mountain; let all the inhabitants of the land trembles for the day of the Lord cometh for it is nigh at hand.”

Joel 2:12 – “Therefore, now, saith the Lord TURN you even to me with all your HEART, and with FASTING and with WEEPING and with MOURNING;”

Joel 2:13 – “And rend your heart and not your garments and TURN unto the Lord your God for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.”

Joel 2:17 – “Let the PRIESTS, the MINISTERS of the Lord, WEEP between the porch and the altar, and let them say, spare thy people, O Lord, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them…”

Prophetic Minstrel

“And Elisha said…But now bring me a minstrel and it came to pass, when the minstrel played, the hand of the Lord came upon he…And he said, Thus saith the Lord… “ (2 Kings 3:14-16)

Minstrel is another name for musician.  As the musician played it stirred Elisha and he started to prophesy. What ignites your prophetic flow? I’ve noticed certain types of music can stir or activate one’s anointing, thus, maximizing the prophetic flow. I have noticed over the years when a musician plays a certain sound it stirs and activate the prophetic flow and  releases spontaneous, songs, worship, praise and even warfare beats.

Music is an instrumental sound with rhythm, melody and harmony.  Music was used to make merry the celebration of the prodigal son returning home. (Luke 15:25) Celebrate victories; Miriam and other women sang, danced, and played timbrel when the Israelites escaped the Egyptians. Ex. 15:20. Music calms the soul. King David was called to soothe Saul with music (1 Sam. 16:16-23).

Music and singing is an excellent tool for releasing the prophetic word of the Lord and His power. You might begin by speaking in your heavenly language, even though you don’t understand it; creating a harmony in spirit, soul and body, which releases the anointing power of God. Music has the ability to take your mind and emotions and will and bring them to flow together at the same time creating unity.

Your whole spirit, soul and body begin to vibrate with the very power of God when His glory begins to fall upon you.
